quiet body of summer

I photographed only the body of this Fjord horse, surrounded by tall golden grass. The light touches the mane and the coat, almost as if you could feel the warmth of the evening. Even without eyes or a face, there is so much presence here. That is what I love about this image – it shows the quiet strength in small details. It was taken on a late summer evening while the herd moved freely. Nothing was staged, I was simply allowed to be close. For me, this photograph carries a sense of home, not as a place but as a feeling of calm.

Each print is custom-made on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper, finished with a white border, carefully packaged and delivered unframed. Production takes approx. 8–12 business days, followed by shipping which usually takes 3–5 business days within Germany and longer internationally, depending on the destination.
